AOL Picks Up FIVE Awards at the Annual 2012 SPASA Awards Ceremony

 

On Friday 25th of May, a group of representatives from AOL, including our pools and spas General Manager, Michael Robinson, attended the annual 2012 SPASA Awards.

 

(For those of you who don't know, SPASA (The Swimming Pool and Spa Association) is a "self regulated, not for profit organization dedicated to maintaining and improving the standards within the Swimming Pool & Spa industry for the betterment of consumers, pool builders and suppliers. SPASA is the recognized authority on pools, spas, equipment and maintenance. The Swimming Pool & Spa Industry consists of builders, manufacturers, installers, renovators, suppliers, retailers & consultants."¹

 

...so, they are pretty much the bosses when it comes to anything pools and spas!)

 

Australian Outdoor Living entered a few of our best looking jobs into the existing categories and hoped for the best. We couldn't be happier at the end of the night - bringing home five awards! Of course, we love to help our clients design and own the pool of their dreams and seeing their happy faces at the end of the process makes it all worthwhile, but it is especially rewarding knowing that SPASA likes what we are doing too - enough for them to be award winning!

Our General Manager, Michael Robinson, leads a team of experienced and helpful people who know pools and spas inside out and we pride ourselves on our customer service. The AOL team do our best to ensure that it is a smooth process for our customer's, by handling council approval's, referring and managing the best tradespeople in the business, helping with paving and landscaping and most importantly getting a beautiful looking pool in the ground - all within 4 weeks from council approval!

With Facebook and social media being such a "big deal" nowadays, Australian Outdoor Living decided to give into the craze and start a Facebook page of our own. 

 

I can't believe it has been almost 2 years since we started up our page - according to Facebook, August 12, 2010! In most of that time, we have fumbled around with it,  posting recent installation pics, letting our fans know about  upcoming events we were involved in etc & that's probably the reason why, up until 2 weeks ago we had only received 742 likes!

 

Just recently, we have really given our Facebook page the attention it deserves. By posting more interesting information and engaging our Facebook "likers" we have seen a tremendous increase in our fan numbers! Visiting the page has become more exciting as we get more interaction from our customers and fans and as our page has really become "alive"! No longer is it a mundane job, only being checked once in a blue moon! 

 

Originally, it almost seemed silly for us as a business to have our own Facebook page, but now we realise just how important it is and how much our customers appreciate being able to interact with us on a more "personal" level as we answer their home improvement questions, receive feedback on installations, present before & after pictures and more!

 

Being on Facebook at work won't ever be frowned upon again!
