5 Unique Outdoor Furniture Pieces That Are All the Rage

Dining Setting Lunch

Like most people, there are some days here at Australian Outdoor Living, when we sit at our desks and can’t find the motivation to get stuck into our work. And with a passion for design and all things outdoors, we often find ourselves trawling for amazing outdoor pieces and design inspiration as a form of ‘productive procrastination’.

We’ve put our hours of trawling to good use and decided to bring you five of our favourite unique outdoor furniture pieces we can’t wait to add to our verandahs and decks!

Matt Blatt outdoor chairs

So we’re not exactly starting off with a single piece, but we love this Sydney brand’s unique style – particularly the huge range of outdoor dining chairs, so much so, we couldn’t just bring you one!

The Aqua Wire chair is a super stylish design that’s high on our wish lists. With the detailed steel frame, the cushions add an easy pop of colour to your outdoor dining setting.

We also love their replica of French designer Cedric Ragot’s Invitro stool. The stool can be used as a seat, an end table, or even just a beautiful piece of modern outdoor art. Its minimalist style fits with modern trends and its versatility means that it’s the perfect investment.

Tuuci Air Lounge

Summertime dreaming is well and truly here, and we’re dreaming of sprawling out on the Tuuci Air Lounge and soaking up the summer sun (with SPF 30+, of course!). This sculpture/hammock/pool accessory is the perfect addition to any modern backyard.

Place it on your lawn or in the shallows of your in-ground pool for the ultimate backyard luxury this summer. Add a cocktail, relaxing tunes and a good book and you have the perfect summer retreat in your own backyard.

Williamstown Tree Seat outdoor garden bench

We’ve always been a bit obsessed with the unique wrought iron pieces from Overwrought, with artistic expression the backbone of all of their pieces.

We came across this gorgeous outdoor bench on their online store and fell even more in love with it when we read that it had been designed by Grade 5 students at Westbourne Primary School as part of an artist-in-residence program.

The Williamstown Tree seat is a beautiful addition to any garden, with its whimsical style bringing childhood fantasy back to the daily grind.

MAMAGREEN Bistro Table

Founded by Belgian Designer Vincent Cantaert, MAMAGREEN creates innovative and eco-friendly outdoor furniture designs which have become increasingly popular in cafes, restaurants and backyards throughout the world.

Their MG industrial collection is one of our favourites, with the modern warehouse style perfect for a more rustically-styled backyard.

Their bistro table is a stylish alternative to your classic outdoor dining setting, and while it’s casual in look, it’s the perfect setting for dinner with friends when dressed up with a few candles.

Salvar Day Bed from Vast Interior

The Salvar collection from Vast Interior might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but we love the quirky design of their collection and this day bed would be the perfect addition to our verandas.

Made from Mango Hardwood and recycled timber, this colourful day bed makes a serious statement, with each piece hand-painted and marked with plenty of character. You can play with cushion colours to dress up this piece.

Vast Interior has a philosophy of sustainable and unique designs, but continues to make pieces that are well-crafted and durable for generations to come.
