Port Adelaide took on St Kilda at Marvel Stadium in what was a challenging game.
Both sides weren’t accurate in front of goals, but Port were victorious in what is being called a ‘gutsy’ win. Port has now surged back to a top four spot, beating the Victorian team 10.14 (71) to 8.13 (61).
Our top take outs…
It looks like Port’s horror run with injuries may be ending, and things are looking up. Hinkley calls the win a testament of “remarkable resilience”, and we couldn’t agree more. St Kilda are a quality side that have been in great form—so a win against this side shows that Port deserve their top four spot.
Vice-Captain Ollie Wines is consistently delivering great performances. His form just keeps on improving and he seems to have found his groove. With 36 disposals, his work is nothing short of remarkable. He’s certainly back in the running to be a future solo Captain of the team.
Mitch Georgiades was also another stand out, with a career-best four goals. The 19-year-old is a rising star in his own right and was arguably the best forward on the night.
Experienced forward Charlie Dixon also continues to stand up when needed, kicking the sealer of the game. We look forward to seeing what he can achieve during the finals series.
