Compared to natural lawn, artificial lawn requires very little maintenance.
Compared to natural lawn, artificial lawn requires very little maintenance. In fact, you don’t really need to put any effort in to maintaining it all! Even so, there are a few little things you can do to make sure your lawn lasts for years to come. To help, we’ve put together a list of five tips on how to maintain artificial lawn.

Most corrosive chemicals, such as harsh cleaners, need to be kept away from your lawn as they will, over time, cause damage which will be irreversible.
Organic materials, such as leaves, dead bugs, food from bird feeders and animal feces can break down and release corrosive chemicals. Make sure you move all organic materials away from your synthetic lawn.
To do this, ensure you have the right tools in the shed to get you started.
Not only does owning the right equipment make life easier, it helps keep your artificial lawn clean and tidy. Our go-to items that we can’t live without include a leaf blower, a rake, and a hose.
If you live in a dry region or simply don’t get enough rainfall, rinsing the grass down with a hose can remove organic matter which has dried up and hardened, such as leaves and pollen.
We recommend just using water, as it is the safest option. It’s important to note that generic cleaning chemicals will most likely damage your lawn.
Allow the grass to air dry, and of course, let others know it could be slippery around the area.
As soon as the artificial grass is stained, you will need to clean it up as quickly as possible to stop it from setting.
Once again, simply hosing it down is your best option as chemicals can cause irreversible damage.
The good news is the synthetic fibers used to make artificial lawn are extremely resistant to staining, so if you don’t have time to clean it up immediately, it’s okay.
If you have a strong stain from a liquid such as coffee, tea, alcohol or fruit juices, you may need to give our team a call so they can work out what option is best to support you in removing the stain.
Raking the lawn will redistribute the blades so your lawn appears as good as new.
Doing this often will also help the lawn to wear evenly and this is also a good time to search for any weeds.
Weeds can unfortunately sometimes poke through the synthetic grass base.
We recommend using a mild weed killer, but take extra care in ensuring the mix is not too potent as this can damage the lawn fibers over time.
Of course, you can simply pull them out as well!
