Available in a range of colours, Modwood Composite Decking doesn't fade and is safe to use around wet areas like pools and spas- with a much lower risk of degradation from water. Made using a combination of resin and sustainably sourced, recycled timber, Composite Decking combines the benefits of synthetic flooring with the beauty and sustainability of natural timber. Eco-friendly, Splinter free and almost no maintenance, Composite Decking is the perfect solution for the fast paced family, or for those looking to achieve the ultimate maintenance free outdoor area.

Always beautiful

Composite Boards are designed with all the beauty of Natural Timber without the hassle - Each board has five multi-chromatic colours with an enhanced real-wood look and deep embossed grain producing a natural wood-like appearance, and will age to develop the beautiful rich patina of natural woods. However, Manufactured Timbers benefit from consistency, which means no bowed lengths, no flaws and less defected off-cut waste. Plus, you'll never have to sand, stain or oil the deck again ever! Simply wash down and occasionally sweep  to maintain.

GreenTag certified

Modwood Composite Decking is GreenTag Certified (Greenrate Level C), meaning it has been certified as complying with the standards set within the Global GreenTagCERT Scheme. In short, this scheme offers certification to products who fit six sustainability criteria: Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Biodiversity, Health & Ecotoxicity, Life Cycle Analysis, Social Responsibility & Labour Conditions, and Synergy.  As well as exceeding these expectations, our Composite Timbers are credited for their sustainable procurement and sustainable materials.  You can see the certification here

Better for Australian climates

Eco friendly

Our Composite TImbers are made using approx 90% recycled or reclaimed materials. Each lineal metre of ModWood decking (137 x 23 mm board) contains approximately thirty seven recycled plastic milk bottles and almost two kilograms of reclaimed pine waste. The wood fibre used in the manufacturing process originates from AFS (Australian Forestry Standard) certified plantation grown, sustainably managed pine. Plus, Composite Timber requires very little maintenance, meaning you'll use fewer supplies and fewer chemicals in the maintenance of your beautiful decking.

Family friendly

Composite Decking is perfect for both Kids and Pets. Splinter free and scratch resistant, composite boards are the perfect, safe and highly durable option for active families. Modwood composite boards have also been shown to be comparable in temperature to natural timbers, reducing the risk of burning sensitive little feet or paws.

Perfect for wet areas

Manufactured to the highest achievable level of slip resistance P5 (AS 4586:2013), Composite boards are ideal for wet surfaces such as pool and hot tub surrounds, as well as marine environments like pontoons and piers. Resistant to fading and staining, and won't split, rot or warp, ModWood composites are designed to stand the test of time even under the harshest Australian conditions. \ModWood has been shown to be unaffected by chlorine or salt water pools, meaning you don't have to worry about water bleaching or damage, as well as being resistant to mould and mildew even in moist conditions.
