Let Australian Outdoor Living help you select a perfect set of outdoor blinds.
We understand that choosing a set of outdoor blinds can be a bit of a headache.
It can be even more exhausting when companies bombard you with words and phrases you don’t understand.
Thankfully, the friendly folk at Australian Outdoor Living have come to the rescue with this handy guide to selecting a set of outdoor blinds.
We’ll take you through the ins and outs of our blinds, and by the end you’ll (hopefully) have a great understand of what products we offer!
There are essentially three things for you to think about: the material of the blind, how you want to operate the blind, and the colour of the blind.
To put it simply, we offer four types of material: Bella Opaque, Bella Vista, Bella Bronze and Bella Crystal.
The materials range from dense to transparent, so you’ll be faced with deciding how much privacy you’d like your outdoor blinds to provide.
Our dense Opaque and Vista material is perfect for adding privacy to an outdoor space.
The best part is they won’t just shelter you from the sun; they’ll shelter you from the prying eyes of your nosy neighbours as well!
These form our ‘shade blinds’ range, because they’re perfect for those sunny afternoons.
On the more transparent end of the spectrum we offer our premium clear and tinted café blinds.
The Bella Bronze and Bella Crystal range offer either a tinted or completely see-through barrier against the weather.
Your neighbours will be able to see what you’re doing, but you’ll still be able to appreciate the view from your backyard.
An important thing to remember is that both of these choices are only available in the Classic operation system – you can read about that in the next section.
We offer three types of operation system at Australian Outdoor Living: the Classic system, the NEO system and the Motion system.
All three choices come with their advantages, so we’re able to guarantee that we have something for everyone.
Our Classic operation system is the traditional and original way to operate your outdoor blinds.
A manually-operated system, the user must turn a crank to raise and lower the blind.
It’s simple, it comes in a wide range of colours, and it’s the most cost-effective operation system on the market.
Our Classic system is available in all four of our materials, making it the most versatile operating system.
Similar to the Classic, you can operate our NEO range manually with a crank rod attached to the blind.
The biggest aspect that separates the NEO from the Classic is the fact that it is fixed to your verandah or pergola in a guided track system.
This means the blind span is wider, ensuring that your outdoor area is less exposed to wind, rain and insects.
The NEO also includes a built-in tension limit switch, meaning you can never over-tension your blind.
Our NEO range is only available in the Opaque and Vista materials.
The Motion operation system is the premium choice when it comes to operating your outdoor blinds.
With the push of a button, our Motion Outdoor Blinds can change the atmosphere of your entertaining area.
The Motion system utilises the same guide track system as the NEO, with the added bonus of being completely remote controlled.
It’s also perfect if you want your blinds to protect you from wind, rain and insects.
Our Motion range is only available in the Opaque and Vista materials.
The colour of your blinds can really depend on what type of material and operation system you choose.
If you opt for our Bella Bronze or Bella Crystal café style blinds, you’re obviously limited to one colour due to their transparency.
Fortunately, you can choose to give your café style blinds a coloured border, and with six fancy colours to choose from, you’re faced with a pretty tough decision!
When it comes to our Bella Vista and Bella Opaque material, the thicker nature of the blinds mean you are limited to colours on the darker end of the spectrum.
That’s not the end of the world – both materials give you six different colour options each, so you’ll still be able to find one that perfectly matches the style of your home.
You can check out our colour options on our website.
To sum up…
Okay, we realise we’ve just thrown a whole bunch of information at you in a short space of time.
The point we’re trying to make is that buying outdoor blinds doesn’t have to be a headache.
If you prefer to install a set of cafe style blinds – Bella Crystal and Bella Bronze material – you’re limited to transparent blinds with a colourful border. You can only choose the Classic operation system if you install these blinds.
If you go for shade blinds – Bella Vista and Bella Opaque – you’ll be able to choose from a range of colours. We’ll also give you the choice of the NEO operation system or the Motion operation system.
With so much to consider, it can be difficult to make a decision.
